Congratulations to my sister, Laura, and her boyfriend Matt who entered and won their first ultramarathon this past weekend. It was the Gator 50K in eastern North Carolina.
Race Results
Most importantly, they both want to run more ultras after this first one so that is always a good thing. Looking back, I'm not sure if I felt the same way after my first one!

No way! I wondered about that when I heard her name announced (I ran it too).
I would be interested to hear if she thought it was as amazingly hot and humid if I did. If she made it through that race with such forward looking optimism to the sport then she must be a tuffy!
